Provider Portal Update – What’s happening with the Provider User Profile Page
On September 13, 2007, enhanced functionality for the Provider User Profile Page was deployed to provide a direct access link to claims functions. This update included the following:
- Providers that select the CMS 1500 Claim or UB-04 Claim link on the home page are now directed to the Provider User Profile Page instead of the Submit Claims page.
- Providers that select the Claims Status link on the home page are now directed to the Provider User Profile Page instead of the Claims Status page.
- Providers that select the Update Personal Profile link on the home page are now directed to the Provider User Profile Page.
Once on the Provider User Profile Page, providers can still get to these pages as those links are now located at the bottom of the Provider User Profile Page (see screen shot below).
The following screen shot highlights which links to follow to submit a claim or check claim status. Once on the Provider User Profile Page, you can select View Claims, Submit Claims or update your profile information.
