Demonstration Available for Online Registration Procedure
To assist providers in understanding the value and process of becoming registered for the secured Web site at www.triwest.com, TriWest has created a registration demonstration that includes the newly implemented instant online registration process. You are now able to go step-by-step through the online registration process. This link is live on the Provider Connection area of www.triwest.com under "Registration Demo."
Registration for this portal on www.triwest.com allows you to:
- Check eligibility online
- View patient benefit information
- Check the status of your requested referrals/authorizations
- Check the status of referrals/authorizations for which you are the approved servicing provider
- Review and update consult tracking status reports
- Submit claims online
- Check claim status
Providers who register online for the secured Web site at www.triwest.com now receive their password immediately by e-mail, allowing providers that are authenticated to gain immediate access to the secured Web site. Previously, providers or their staff members attempting to register for the Web site had to wait several days to receive a temporary password by mail to complete the registration process and access their account.
The registration process was changed to use provider information already in the claims system to authenticate the user.
To authenticate and register instantly on the site, the providers and/or their staff must have claims information on file with Wisconsin Physicians Service (WPS). When registering, the provider will need to provide Internal Control Numbers (ICN) for two patients from the Explanations of Benefits (EOB), along with the dates of birth for those two patients. If authenticated upon registration, an e-mail is sent to the user so they can activate their account "instantly." If a provider does not have a claim on file, the previous system of receiving a password in the mail will remain in place.
