As we are about to enter a new year, TriWest Healthcare Alliance would like to offer some suggestions to improve your experience when calling TriWest for information about a TRICARE program or assistance with a specific issue.History has shown that the call volume to the TriWest Contact Center in January is usually 20% higher than normal. While TriWest will ensure adequate staffing in our Contact Center to handle the increased call loads, to further avoid delays, please consider the following suggestions:
- Call 1-888-TRIWEST (888-874-9378) during off-peak hours (after 1:00 pm in your time zone) for a quicker response time.
- Use the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system to receive information 24-7 without the necessity of speaking to a customer service representative. An IVR guide is available in the Provider Connection of www.triwest.com in the Resource Library to guide you through the process.
- Register for the secured Web site where you can perform a variety
of functions without calling TriWest. Registered providers have access to a secure portal on www.triwest.com where they can:
- Verify patient eligibility
- Determine status of referrals/authorizations
- Submit claims online, view claims and check claim status
- Download Explanations of Benefits
- See what checks have been issued
TriWest’s E-Seminars also offer the convenience of learning about TRICARE programs in the comfort of your office, home or any location with Internet access at a time most convenient to you. Go to the Provider Connection at www.triwest.com to find the "E-Seminars" link.
